Shirokane Apartment, is a Japandi-inspired interior styled apartment in the heart of a residential area of Shirokane, Tokyo. Approached by a client that was settling into a bachelor apartment, the client requested a space that he can wind down and spend time in a comfortable living space. As rental properties in Japan disallow any architectural changes, the focus was solely on furniture selection and interior styling. The result is an apartment that merges Japanese design principles with Scandinavian design, and to encourage an environment that inspires a lifestyle of mindfulness and solitude.
